MASTER OF PUPPETS IM PULLIN' THE STRINGS

We've designed some of our creeps for the Dungeon Defender in 3Ds Max.

This is one of my creeps, it's pretty simple but as we've seen in the assets we've already been given in the sample game in the unity pack, the models are very simple just given a decent texture and it makes them look pretty acceptable.

I've also enrolled in some online university courses for programming based around Python and just learning general programming

I've done a couple of lessons and it's pretty decent.

Maybe i can become a master programmer

LET'S WAIT AND SEE!

Yoyoyoyoyo

Here's an update on the weapon silhouette. It's pretty much done

A giant axe is a weapon of choice for any situation and of course would be a lot more satisfying to kill someone with in an FPS right?

Gibs, gibs everywhere.

Anyway, we're getting close to full designing our levels for our FPS and today i also designed one of my turrets in 3DS max.

It's pretty simple but with some fancy-ass texturing im sure it'd look super neat

Pretty fly for a white guy

Some concept sketches for the enemies for my DD game

Pretty simple still but the general concept is there
I think this will be the final idea for the enemies cause these guys are pretty simple but still decently appealing

As for the first person shooter im brainstorming ideas for the gun weapon and the creeps

I think my map idea is pretty solid and this weekend i might try and put some of it in Unity

See how it goes

Problems, problems everywhere!

Alright so.
The work i was going to post up on here was left at tafe.
That'll er- be up tomorrow.

As for work; this week was pretty interesting, more conceptional work for our games and we're beginning to polish our ideas and get them ready to be modeled.

I have a feeling that my tower defense game is going to end up a lot stupider than i originally intended, but hey, funny sells
... doesn't it?

I find myself having to buy a tablet too, so i can do work at home, rather than just drawing on paper.
Kinda sucks that tafe doesn't provide one but oh well

You lucky bastard Jeff
Got one from tafe

ideas for the first person shooter

Metroid Prime was a very impressive game as far as visual effects go.

Adding visor and visual effects to a first person game really increased the feedback and immersion.

Something like this is what i would like to include in the first person game we are making, probably on a smaller scale though, can't shoot too high, right?

Had Unity class today
Looking forward to brainstorming ideas for the first person shooter and hoping to make it quite interesting and... yeah.

Misaka Mikoto

Had some spare time today, so i decided to work on another character for my dungeon defender game

All looking a bit simple at the moment but the basic concepts are there which is good, i can just add to them later.

Class this week has been interesting and the classes we have seem a lot better and worth while that the other classes we had last year. Jus' sayin'

All in all, im making some decent progress already i think and hopefully i can keep up this level of work flow.

See what happens i guess.

Getting down to business

Second day of Tafe, created the basic model for my level 1 turret for my Dungeon Defender game.
Some improvements to be made but this was a quick work up of what i wanted.

Hopefully the other entities will come along well.
